Is this a golden comet?

They don't have to be close. They could be trucked for a long way. She may have just escaped from someone as well. She may have been dumped by someone who didn't want her any more as well. Hard to say for sure.

She's definitely a red sex link. It looks to me like her feathers have been plucked by other chickens, usually that's from over crowding. I would keep her quarantined for a bit to make sure she doesn't have anything she could spread to your flock, but I would totally keep her. :)

I'm keeping her... I needed more hens anyway.. To many roos my wife and kids won't let me cull. However in response to the quarantine suggestion. I was trying to do that but due to her strong instinctual desire to be with other chickens and my young children's strong instinctual ability and desire to know what I don't want them to do and their quick ability to do just that thwarted my efforts in keeping them seperated. So thyme and garlic in the waterer it is for the whole flock.

Yep, what everyone else said! Not sick, just picked on :) Red sex link!

Well I don't she'll be picked on with mine the walked into the coop sized up everybody in there then walked over to alpha rooster who was eating and tried to put her head in the same hole as him... He stopped and looked at her ruffled his feathers then she grabbed him by the comb and pushed his head to the ground and proceeded to eat out of his feed hole...:lau

Wow! Sounds like your flock has a new queen! It's a good thing she's so comfortable :)
