This is a 10 - 11 week old "free exotic" chick that came with my McMurrary Hatchery order. I haven't been able to figure out the breed and with this being Alaska I need to know if I this one will be able to handle the cold. The Wyandottes and Brahmas are good cold weather chickens. Just don't know about this one. Thanks for the help!

I agree cockerel as well. It's in the leg size, hackle/saddle feathers and comb size/color.They also say the coloring of EE's is a giveaway but for me it was the saddle and hackle feathers...

Looks just like my EE - I live in New England and I picked that type specifically for their cold weather hardiness! Good Luck!
