Is this a good deer hunting gun for Hubby? HELP!!!

Oh, forgot to add. we already have a gun safe. I bought him one a few years back with good intentions of buying him a gun also but, never got too.

He has also been wanting to buy a gun but never has. So I thought what a perfect gift. It's so hard to buy for you men..... So I want this to be a perfect gift.

A few years back a bought him a Plane ride and he got to fly it (with a professional plane driver that is) that could take over if anything happened. They let him take off and fly it and even land the plane. He was so astonished. He said it was the best birthday present he had ever gotten.

I want this to be the same for him.

Just talked to hubby - his 500 was one of his first guns. It's about 30 years old. He calls that one "Old Reliable". He has a "Deer Slayer" 500 as well, and has shot quite a few deer with it, including this one:

I think it will be great first "owned" gun....and then you can start getting more and more and more and more....

I ended up going with a Remington 870 single barrel pump 12 gauge. And it is camo

He likes it.
