For a slightly higher price, you might want to get a Maticoopx. That said, I’ve worked with Hova-bators before, and they’re kinda cheaply made, but they’re reliable and have decent hatch rates for what they are. That and the fact that you can get them at any farm store make them one of my favorites, just barely beat by the quality of the Maticoopx.

I had a 1588 many years ago, one of the older models. The way you set temperature has changed dramatically, much more user friendly.

To me it is a medium range incubator, more expensive than some but not as expensive as others. My first hatch with it was about a 70% success rate. The factory presets were not perfect, it took me a couple of hatches to get them correct. It did not help that my hen's eggs tend to hatch early whether in the incubator or under a broody hen, I think due to heredity.

No matter which incubator you get I think you need to learn how to use it and make sure it is set correctly for your conditions. With mine, I found it very reliable once I got it set up and learned how to use it. But my model was 17 years ago, I have no experience with today's model.

I’ve tried 3 types of Chinese Amazon bubble incubators, an nr 365 and a little giant, I currently use and mostly like one of the Chinese ones (nr360 was a loan, decent incubator but more than I wanted to spend) and the little giant was shot from the start (ran 105f!). The other two Amazon incubators were also a disaster, one had turner issues and I lost half my eggs before I knew it was an issue and the other I had to run extremely high to maintain a decent temp so longevity was going to be an issue. It is really hard to find a ‘good’ incubator without test driving it, because we are all looking for different things and need different things. As long as it maintains temp and turns the eggs then technically it is decent (but like my little giant, some individual machines will have issues as well even if in general they work great). This is a great question to ask here, but until you actually hatch some eggs you’ll never know if it is what you are looking for, which is annoying and expensive because unlike cars you don’t get a free test drive!

Thank you, my only issue is , my refund is all on Amazon so I have to buy from Amazon . The maticoopx is cheaper then then the hova-bator the hova-bator is $274.00
