Is this a good show bird diet? What do you all feed?

I know I need a high protein diet for my show birds, but after doing a search on here all I could find were a few references to mixing Gamebird feed and Layers. I cannot find anyone who sells Gamebird feed locally, so I had an idea to use Chcik Starter instead. I was thinking of using 100% chick starter (no mix). It is 20% protein and the only BIG difference beteen it and Layers feed is the calcium. The chick starter has very low calcium, so I thought this would be good for the roosters. I can offer free choice osyter shell to the hens, so figured that wasn't a biggie. I also plan to offer fresh greens (cabbage and romaine) every 2-3 days and one table spoom of bird seed once or twice a week. Perhaps I can even offer canned fish every so often. Does this sound like a good diet or am I way off track? What do you all feed your show birds?

I always add a bit of seeds with high content of oil in them about a month before show season start, just a small amount every 2-3 days... sunflower, safflower, linseed, rapeseed, peanut, etc...

My daughter's birds get Purina Flock Raiser (20% protein), fresh pasture every day (they're in a tractor) as well as a tube feeder of whole corn, wheat, and alfalfa pellets. Oyster shell on the side, but those slow developing show birds have yet to start laying.

Most any feed store that carries the Purina line should have Flock Raiser.

I feed mine regular layer feed, plus free-range a few times a week (they can only be out when I'm home). I supplement with a extra pellets of something (I can't remember the name) every few days.

All year long mine get the fats from cooked meat (we only eat the grassfed, organic varieties these days), soaked into oatmeal with scrambled eggs blended in. They get this about once every 3 weeks. They dearly love it if I leave bits of gristle mixed in.

I feed a 21% percent starter/ grower to all my birds. I all so feed a 14% protein pigeon grain mix as a scratch and cod liver oil once the birds are at laying age.
I like feeding around 80% starter/grower to 20% pigeon grain that way my ending feed protein amount is around 18% protein..

We really like Kent Multiflock, they have grit and Oystershell available in the pens. We feed a small handfull of Purina Kitten chow during molt.

If they look a little dry I put some Kickin Chicken, or olive oil, on the the feed and shake it up to coat the pellets then dump in the feeder.

Mine do get a broccoli/cabbage/spinach pinata also. They get so excited when I string it up.
