I think that is a pullet. I see no saddle feathers - and at 8 months - they (saddle feathers) should be flowing down this bird's back/sides.


Not to be mean to your DH, but is he SURE it was a crow? Even if it was, I had a D'Uccle hen who DID crow and lay eggs.

I will take a current pic today. There was no crowing this am. I also noticed yesterday that there are little fine feathers growing out around the comb.

This is a current pic taken today. He, She is really filling out and that tail feather is going to be beautiful! Yes, he was sure it was a crow yesterday.
