This is him this morning. I moved him and the game rooster out of the coop last night because my 10 week old "hopefully RIR" chicks have outgrown their baby coop. And as large as these two rooster are and as protective as game rooster has become of the hens I was scared to leave them in with the babies. All of my girls are pretty calm and hopefully won't hurt them and the bantam rooster is smaller than the chicks so they could take him if need be.

I hope hubby agrees that we need to keep red. He will let me hold him and will eat treats out of my hand. He used to follow us around the yard and sit on the porch waiting on us to come outside. It is amazing that with 3 adult roosters and six laying hens we haven't had more aggression issues. As soon as the RIR chicks get big we will have 12 hens. We just have to do something with the extra roosters... Its a shame we paid for a hen and got another rooster. Poor guy being called a girl his whole life...

Thanks for the guess on breed Donrae! I was thinking red sex link too! He is a mutt I am sure but he is sweet and pretty!
