Hi! We got several mixed breed chicks from a neighbor this year (mostly barred rock and those classic white ones -leghorn??) As well as some unsexed Dorking chicks from Cackle hatchery. They are all about 4 months old now, so its about time to start thinning out the roos, but some of them i am having a terrible with. Some are obvious, but some make me second guess the others! 😅 I would appreciate some input, especially with anyone who has had dorking, they are completely new to me, althoughi am not terribly experienced anyway.

This one in particular is difficult, almost no comb and pale (but might be breed?) Pointy tackles, but confusing saddle.

Kinda hard from that angle and all clumped together, can you take side pics. I can see 2 that look like roo's from those pics but kinda hard to tell. Others are better at playing this game than me though

This one has pointy hacks, but confusing saddle and tiny tail, also a smaller more pale comb.

I was really hoping this white a rust dorking was a hen
All the white birds with rust coloring are male. I'm starting to think most of your barred birds are, too (the lighter ones definitely are, and even the 2 with splotchy barring in the 1st pic.) Only the darker one I can't see the face is the one I am uncertain of.

I thought two of your darker barred ones might be pullets, but in your 4th post, I can see the comb and wattles and I think a male saddle feather coming in.

The white bird on the left in the last picture is female. More pictures of the other white birds of their faces will help to gender those, if you are questioning them.
