Is this a male or female

I tried the method of gently squeezing their vents. And I can’t tell cause it comes out slightly white, but I don’t know if its the right type of foam. More like bubbles really.

for the vent method does it have to be thick white foam?

and for this quail is it a male? Its amber on its chest but i see that it has black dots slighty.

Male. If he's 6-8 weeks old, you might just get some bubbles. The serious foam happens when they become sexually mature and active.

That one's not feather sexable. You'll have to vent sex or wait until you get eggs or crowing.

This one isn’t feather sexable, but his body shape looks more male to me, and I find most of mine with prominent shafts on their chest feathers are male, I would prepare for him having a good chance of being a boy, but you won’t know until it lays an egg, crows, or can be vent sexed.
