Hi,well I got my hens last spring. Its just I never cared to ask this.Well at my feed store they had a production red sale,it was ONLY suppose to be Production Reds.Well I got a hen FROM the sale and it look like a Rhode Island Red.I should have questioned this when they were chicks I didn't though.I was a little curious when they were chicks, but I just let it go.She grew up having black tail feathers and small black dots on the wings. Is she a mix?Well please let me know! Here's the pics!

THANKS FOR EVERONES HELP!

She looks like a hatchery quality RIR.

whats that?

she is a production, hatchery version of a RIR.
how does she differ from a heritage version? color isn't dark enough, tail set too high, not heavy bodied enough. Nothing wrong with her, should be a great layer, pretty hen.

So what exactly is the difference? I was told that mine were RIR, and bought them for that exact purpose.
