I took better pictures today.

Here is Hermi, the BLRW with a gender identity crisis.

Hermi and my roo, Pretty Boy together for comparison.

Yep. Both lil roos...oh, and in my very humble opinion, I think you should keep Pretty Boy-better markings...

kepp them both anyway unless they start fighting or the crowing drives you batty... by that time you'll know whose prettier and who has a better personality anyway

I guess I will just have to wake up and smell the roses (or chickens). Hermi must be a boy. What a shame. I only had 2 pullets out of 6 eggs I hatched.

Red&Yellow - I thought Pretty Boy was nicer, too. I somewhat like Hermi's body better, but I like the coloring on Pretty Boy and he has a wider face.

I dont know this breed, but I dont see a sign of a saddle feather to indicate rooness?
