Is this a roo?

I want to make sure this is a roo. It is a 6 week old Buff Orpington. I am fairly certain it is by the red wattles but I would like a second opinion!

That's a lot of comb for a 6 week old, but I am hesitant to make a gender guess without a full profile of the bird.

Based on the redness of the comb and wattles at 6 weeks, I agree with you that it appears to be a cockerel. I would however suggest re-posting its pic in another 3 weeks or so as Orpingtons have a habit of fooling even experienced BYC members.

This is the best I could get before he hopped off and I had to chase him around like a nut!

I'm leaning towards cockerel based on comb/wattle development, but am not sure since the body type actually looks rather pullet-y.
