I see a young cockerel!
It’s the red fleshy new wattles, and just the red flesh. My girls had smaller combs, and remained pale until nearly laying age. His tail is starting to develop too, for 8-10 weeks age, looks like a boy.

Here are some updated pictures of Bertha now... I also posted a picture of Lucille.. she is also and Austra White and the same age as Bertha!

With the additional pictures I am leaning boy but I guess you will just have to wait and see. Have they started crowing or laying or anything yet?

Not sure but I think Bertie is a cockerel. Looks like (s)he’s getting saddle feathers and the comb it quit red for a pullet. On the other hand the tail has rounded feathers.

Still looks like a pullet to me. A roo at that age would have larger wattles and fuller comb.
