Is it really??? I have been looking online and find so many male pictures that look just like Roo, one of the feathers on the tail is starting to curve and its blackish, is it still too young to tell ?

I know I posted a front shot of Cheeky and Roo so Roo is a female??? How can she look so different in feet size and comb plus feathers around the neck and tail????

Looks like a pullet to me! All my americauna roosters developed very red combs very early and had much larger tail feathers.

Tail feathers personally I can tell a small difference between Cheeky's tail and Roos.

Their color will stay the same, I just meant that the coloring is female only

Ya I can see a small difference in tail feather size but they look exactly like my hens chi chi and Sofia and I've been unlucky enough to get 6 Americauna Roos out of my chicks the past year that were supposably pullets... They were very easy to call out compared to other breeds I've had. Very thick bright red combs at a very young age upright posture and pronounced tails... And I mean at like 4-5 weeks RED combs... Maybe it was just their bloodline but their looks and attitude stood out as Roos and she looks like a pretty girl. can't say 100% for sure but i definitely vote pullet!!

Not awesome you got 6 roos when they were suppose to be pullets. I am still hoping that Roo isnt a Rooster. How much longer till I can surely tell the difference between the two Ameraucana's??

I doubt they are related, but still the difference in feet thickness and size, plus the comb difference still makes me wonder.
