How old...looks like my girls and they have beards.
Looks like a pullet to me! All my americauna roosters developed very red combs very early and had much larger tail feathers.![]()

when do they molt into their permanent coloring???
Ya I can see a small difference in tail feather size but they look exactly like my hens chi chi and Sofiaand I've been unlucky enough to get 6 Americauna Roos out of my chicks the past year that were supposably pullets... They were very easy to call out compared to other breeds I've had. Very thick bright red combs at a very young age upright posture and pronounced tails... And I mean at like 4-5 weeks RED combs... Maybe it was just their bloodline but their looks and attitude stood out as Roos and she looks like a pretty girl.
