I just got this barred rock chick I don’t know how old and I am wondering if this is a rooster or a hen I am really hoping it is a hen I love her so much already.

awh! super cute chick! It's pretty hard to tell at this age. Maybe spread out the wings, if the feathers on the wings are straight and make a slight arch, its a hen, if some feathers are longer than others its a rooster.

Based on coloring, I would guess pullet. She looks like she is around 1 month old. In another month, post again because it will be more clear if she is a hen or roo.
