Is this a Rooster or Hen?

She's been in my neighbors yard for 2 days. I'm surprised she didn't get eaten honestly.

I posted her photo in our FB group for our neighborhood. I don't mind keeping it if it's a been, I just can't have a roster here. We're wondering if someone just dumped it after finding out it was a rooster.
Many people in suburbia ordered chicks from hatcheries back in March and April without knowing their zoning regs about roosters or having a plan for cockerels.

Brahmas are a pretty nice and gentle breed. This cockerel is rather light in leg feathering so isn’t breeder-quality. Maybe could be rehomed?

Crowing can happen at any age. My sister has had 1 month old chicks try to crow and others not until they were a few months old.
I'm leaning toward rooster with the saddle feathers, the coloring, and the crow but I am by no means an expert with Brahmas.
Yea, but a lot of them will start near the time they get their feathering or a little later. That’s why I think it could have been dumped there.

I posted him up to see if I can find him a good home.

Thank you. Do I just wait to see if it happens to crow? It looks young to me. Once I caught it, it was very chill. It did start to wiggle and let out a crow, so that has me worried. We can't have rosters here.
I say just give it a little time and see if it lays an egg. I hope everything turns out for you!😊

Can't say I haven't heard of that happening. It's almost like ome people blame the rooster for being a rooster and not a hen. Specialty breeds can beI found new homes for, even roos. Though I don't know if brahma isthe a, specialty breed.
