I got 2 Easter eggers a few months back and was told they're hens. One turned out to be a rooster, they looked the same except he started crowing and his tail feathers started getting long and curling.
We lost him to a raccoon attack 2 weeks ago, and since then this one started crowing and being aggressive to the other hens. S/he is the same age as the other but the tail feathers aren't long like the roosters were and the comb is smaller.
Is she a rooster or is this normal behavior after the loss of a rooster?
