Looks "pink" to me, too. If she's the boss-hen, she can sound rather boyish, especially if there's no rooster around. I had a bossy lady-bird, too. She didn't have a true crow, but she had/has a much deeper voice than the other ladies - and she was very talkative, at least until the cockerels matured enough to mix back into the flock. She's still top-dog, but definitely not as vocal, now that there's a fellow in charge.

Hens can and will... but not usually, not normally. If there's a roo present in the flock, then a hen won't crow. And certainly not a pullet.
