Is this a rooster?

I didnt see that post after mine XD. I dont know much about jersey giants. The pics I losted are of an ideal easter egger rooster adult :p since I didn't know at the time. That and the fact that it looked like my adult easter egger hen, silver :confused:

Pullet. Rounded feathers, I see no pointy.
Some of my hens have huge red waddled and combs, doesn't always mean male.
Yeah, but this isn't a hen (mature bird), it's only 7 weeks old. They only get really red just before they start laying, and that doesn't happen before 14 weeks at the earliest.

The important consideration here is the bird is 7 weeks old. At that age, that much red comb and wattle indicates that it is indeed a male. A pullet will not be that developed until at least 10 weeks, more likely 14. Especially on a large, slow maturing breed like Jersey Giants, the saddle and tail feathers will take longer to come in and be evident.
Exactly! All characteristics must be considered "relative to reported age" in gender assessment.....this is a cockerel
