When I bought this chicken, it was about 7 weeks old. She/he is supposed to be a Golden Sex Link. This "female" is mounting my other chickens and and strutting about, like it is competing with my other rooster. When we bought it, they were selling Golden Sex Links and Buff Orpington's. What is this bird? Is this Goldie or Rockey?

thats a cockerel you can see his saddles and hackles very well...if it was a sex link breed to a sex link then you will not have sex link chicks as breeding a sex link is a one time thing and im sure thats what it was (sex link breed to sex link) as red sex link males are white with red on them and this is 10000% cockerel

Yup definitly not a sexlink.. I dont know about sexlinkxsexlink because Ive never seen one. Maybe BO roo? (everybody else correct me If im wrong I dont own BO's)

it is possible that it is a bo cockerel it does have the right colors and the right leg color to be a bo just not as fluffy as a bo should

this pic is a flock of cockerels

I was thinking BO too, mine weren't very fluffy at first, but got much fluffier later. I also concur on rooster, just look at those pretty saddle feathers.

Definitely NOT a sex-link, Golden sex-link cockerels are almost completely white. What you have is a Hatchery quality Buff Orpington cockerel
