This bird had a red comb @ about 4 weeks and few feathers. At 10 weeks he/she is finally covered with feathers and now even has tail feathers but bright yellow legs. Her/his sisters have grayer legs and not so wide brown on their black feathers. This chick also likes to chest bump the other chicks.

This bird is supposedly a sibling of above chick.

It's name is OddBall. Guess that was not too far from true.

Today OddBall has red waddle showing up. I cannot keep a rooster, neighbors too close. At what point do they start to cockle doodle doo and what is the best way to give away a rooster?

They can crow anywhere from 8 weeks to 20 weeks depending on the rooster. I give them away on craigslist sometimes. I assume eating him is not an option with you; if this is true, be careful when giving him away as that might be someone else's intention.

I would also recommend posting on carigslist. I always posted at least 5.00 to make sure someone is taking him for the right reason (if you dont want him to be dinner for someone) then if someone resoponds you can always offer him for free if its a good home. Also, if you know the breed mention that as well as how friendly it is. (I have re homed 4 roos this way 3 barred rocks and 1 lav orp-all to great homes)

There is also a forum on here for rehoming...if its a pure breed roo, there may be someone looking for a particular roo. Good luck!
