Hi, everyone. I need a little help identifying whether or not my little bantam hen is a serama or silver duckwing old english game bantam. Here are some pics, and a little info about her (Sparrow is her name). She weighs aproximately 1 pound. She is only as tall a soda can, even when standing at her full height. I purchased her sometime in March(?) as a day old baby chick, at atwoods. Now she's full grown and lays creamy white eggs that are about the size of button quail eggs. she is very calm and tame, and will sit on my lap... in fact, she's sitting on my lap right now. Here are her pics. These were just taken today.

I would think that she's oegb, based on how long her back is and how horizontally she holds her wings. Unless her stance looks drastically different when she's standing and somewhat posed, that would be my guess. She looks really sweet!! There are definitely oegb out there who are as small as or smaller than some seramas...

When she's not disoriented, she stands like this--- all the time, and when she's alert, her tail seems to get really close to her back...

That picture does help. I still believe she's an oegb.

I'm not super experienced with seramas, as I've had them less than a year. But I consider mine "pet quality," and the backs of the females are about half that long (or appear about half that long). There is an American Serama thread going...you could post your pic/question there - most of those folks are much more experienced than I am...I'm still learning.

Her leg color may be an indicator too...hers look fleshy/pinkish rather than yellowish. But that may just be the pic coloring.

She's a pretty little girl, whatever her breed!

This is how Seramas usually stand, they have very short legs and long wings. Your hen is an OEGB.

As far as I know, Atwoods gets their chicks from Ideal and Ideal does not carry Seramas. She is an OEGB.
