Is this a silkie roo?

so I’m new to having a silkie and haven’t had one doubt that i had a silkie Hen until late this morning, i heard a cock-a-doodle-doo! I’m sure it’s this chicken who did it. He did it about 5x until i came out and gave them food and i haven’t heard of it all day. It’s quite the quiet crow too. Here’s some pics

Yup looks like a cockerel just from the comb. My hens have tiny combs if they have anything other than a flat spot.

He's probably a rooster. I have one that looks very similar to yours. My kids gave me this "hen" to replace the rooster we had to rehome. We all believed he was a hen because he had a small comb and didn't have the same body as the rooster we had previously. Then he crowed and after that his comb got huge! He now sleeps in the house at night and crows inside in the morning. That seemed to do the trick until recently he started crowing during the day too. We just tried the rooster collar today. I don't know if it's working yet or not because he's too busy trying to get it off and hasn't attempted to crow. We all really like him (he lived in the house with us for a month and followed the dogs around, so we're all bonded with him) so we're trying everything to keep him and not alert the neighbors. He went from being Sheba to now being Maverick.

Mine and yours are twins. My town doesn’t allow roosters but so far his crow is quite quiet and broken up and he won’t crow until i open the coop. He’s quite a good rooster so far. Hope he stays that way cuz he’s adorable. I always loved his big eyes

Thanks everyone!!! He grew up with a polish hen and a Lakenvelder/americauna mix. The mixed breed is a very Alpha Hen and always sortve protected him since he’s so much smaller than her. It’s interesting to see how they act towards each other. I don’t think he’ll be the usual dominating rooster. So hopefully that keeps the crowing down.

Yes, they look like twins! I hope you have a quiet roo because they sure are fun pets to have. Maverick has such a cute personality and helps keep my 2 hens calm and feel guarded.
