Is this a viable egg?

I have encountered this look in an egg more than once, can somebody please tell if it means the egg is no longer viable?

I have seen it in eggs on day 14 and also in other eggs on day 22, so I am guessing it is not viable.

Shining a flashlight through the egg shows a dark mass with an air pocket on top. As you roll the egg the air pocket always moves to the highest point of the egg and the dark mass always moves to the lowest point of the egg.

Does that mean that whatever was inside has died?
