Is this a worm? What should I do?

Today I found this chicken poop on my back patio. It looks almost like a worm in the poop. It's huge though! I'm not sure which of my chickens it's from. Does this look like a worm? Advice??

This looks like the remnants of a soft-shelled egg that passed.

Eeeevery once in a while, a chicken can lay a shell-less egg. If you see it start happening often, there could be a calcium/nutritional deficiency.

When was the last time you wormed your flock?

Looks like a tape worm to me. Not sure which wormer would cover tapes in chickens. The label will, though, say it covers tapeworms. It's either a tapeworm or a shelless egg. Hard to tell without being there.

Tapes look like little grains of rice.

Unless she passed an ENTIRE tape worm, I'm still feeling like that's a shell-less egg that ripped. I'm seeing yellow, yolky material, too.

I would still recommend worming your birds with something like Valbazen.
