My slice of heaven in Somerset, CA
These are my two bantam cochins, bought as "pullets." Both are about 12 weeks old.

I think Amy, the leading chick on the ramp, is changing into an Amos.

That comb and those wattles, that means it's Amos, right???

Maybe but not necessarily, I had a bantam cochin pullet that had darker comb/wattles just like that and I assumed the same thing, then several weeks later she started laying eggs... So you never know;)

Thanks, all. "Good thing" I just got another bantam cochin last night (about 3 wks old) to "replace" the pullet that turned into a cockerel.

I HAVE to quit going to feed stores. I came home with two chicks, because you can't buy just one.....
