I bought this chick from someone off craigslist. She had gotten her from a hatchery online. The cackle hatchery or something. Just curious if it's the real deal or an EE. Either way, she's cute and I can't wait to see her eggs. Hopefully she is a she.

If the color of the picture is anywhere close to accurate she is an EE.
If it came from a commercial hatchery it is an EE.

The picture is pretty accurate. Although she is more orange in color than the pic shows, and she has some nonsense on her. I will try to get a better picture tomorrow. Thanks

Yes she is. She and her blue cochin sisters were in there for a day or two until I made them a small pen inside my coop. I could not just let them run around with 40 chickens that are a lot bigger than they are, but I wanted them to be with them in the coop. So that was home for a night or 2 until I situated my coop. They are happy and outside with the big girls and boys. Why was this bad to do for a couple nights? Shes 5 wks in this picture.

That is actually my tank for my corn snake who escaped (the tank was in my enclosed porch) we thought we would never see her again, but what do you know, she was hiding under a barrel down by the coop which was pretty far away. My first batch of chickens lived on the porch also, so I think she went to where there was a familiar smell, shes too small to eat the eggs. Anyway, we found her a couple of days after I moved the babies to the coop. What area the odds of that??? It had been about a month since we lost her. Crazy huh!! I didn't think anyone was critisizing, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't bad for them, that's all.
