Is this an infection?

Thanks sillystunt, i'll try that. but do know how got it? I got mine as chicks and theyve never been around any other birds.

Could Ideal be infected with it? I thought tey were a good hatchery to work with.

honestly it could be in your soil, a bird flying over....you really never know.

I just had a bad time with them. I am not saying they are bad but i just choose to use another hatchery. Kinda like when you get bad food you choose to go to another place instead. Many people have good and bad stories about everywhere to be honest. LOL

Once a chicken has been infected with most of these respiratory diseases, they are never really "cured." Their symptoms may subside, but the minute their immune system is depressed or their stressed, symptoms can reappear and you're off to the races again.

Yup, I agree with that. Most are more like herpes-type viruses that stay in the body, even when the symptoms have gone. It's a sad truth about chicken diseasese.​
