Is this angel wing?

On the left

They are on mazuri maintenance. No other food. They are outside 9-9 daily. In their yard most of the day (where they do manage to find some green bits) and walked about 3 times a day around the 2 acres. On those walks they get to walk to full on grass clumps and gobble. I don't think I even go through 2 cups of mazuri a day between both of them. It's offered at all times. But they spend most of their time foraging.

They are about 6 weeks old I want to say. Only the males wings look like that.

It could be early on set. It could just be the weight of the blood shaft also. I would wait 3/5 days and see if they are as bad or worse. If so then wrap, to correct. The waiting won't be long enough to cause any great effect on fixing with a wrap.

I'm too new at geese to say. I think Celtic gave good advice. My geese held their wings a little "funny" as flight feathers grew in. Mine were all fine. I hope that is all that it is.

Thank you! I am trying not to freak out. I am wondering what in the world I did if it is angel wing. They have been on Mazuri Maint. for 2 weeks now I think. Have to go look. They were on Mazuri starter before that. I noticed this in passing a couple days ago but because I saw SO many pin feathers coming in (looks like plastic tubes with threads packed in there) I assumed they were heavy. But today I was really watching them and noted that Sarah's are fine only Chuck is having an issue. Today they are more pronounced than they were a couple days ago but he is also getting some serious feathering going on. Not even a week ago they were both still almost fully covered in down and BOOM all these feathers!

His wings must be really really heavy. They look heavy! Heavier than his mate's wings. He is now holding one wing up more normal now. The other is still out and floppy. Might just be heavy and he is working on muscles to hold them up and in. Hope so!

I was so glad to find this thread. One of my 5 week old Africans has the same thing going on. Its poor little wings are just feather shafts and are drooping, none of the others went through this. I do have my smaller 5 week old that is not quite keeping up with it's hatch mate's development. Everyday I'm looking to see if its getting better or if it's developing angel wing.

Tonight the one wing was up normal like it should be on the one his left is still out. But the fact that he has pulled his right one in gives me hope. And he is stinking HUGE. Holy moly! He is way taller and fatter than his mate now. Up until 2 weeks ago SHE was taller and fatter!

Can you update? Did he end up pulling his wing in? One of my Pekins (almosts 6 weeks) has been growing his big feathers in at the end of his wings and has been holding the wing tips out for almost a week. He finally pulled one side in yesterday but I'm still concerned that I may need to take action before it becomes a bigger issue on the other wing. Thanks!
