Farmer friend gave my kids some chicks when I was helping him out with a ground hog problem. They're mixed breeds in the lot and out of five birds I ended up with 4 roos!! Returning all the roos but 1, and adding some hens that I'm trying to get to size! The other roos were brown and white..not these two.
Anyway, the one hen is what I think is referred to as blue lace. My roo, we have named six toe after a run in with a fox when he was in his hutch on the fourth day I had him. Fox killed two and got six toes' 2 toes..
Any guesses as to the predominent breed?? They're much bigger than bantam. Thanks!
