Is This Blue Mille Fleur OEGB Chick Still Blue??

Self Blue in OEGB is what they call Lavender in other breeds. That chick is not Self Blue. It does looks regular blue to me. I dunno about it being a Mille Fleue though one way or the other.

@Crazy for Chickens! Blue in chickens is like Pomello in horses (ignore cremello -not relevant).
Pomellos have the base color, but 1 cream gene makes them Pomello.
In chickens, blue is a base of black with 1 'cream' (dilute) gene.

Wouldn't that make it colored like a regular Mille Fleur? Unless they sent me the wrong thing, all my chicks are blue. I supposedly have 2 Lemon Blues, and 1 Mille Fleur. Sorry to pester you....

Sounds like they sent you the wrong thing. Yeah, it would be colored like a normal MF.

I looked up the hatchery photo, and it sounds like you are right. Man, I can't believe they did that! I was so excited to see what it would look like.
My packing slip says 2 Blue Mille, 2 Lemon Blue, just like I ordered. They've never messed up on me before.

Ok, i got pics, although they aren't the greatest. (Sorry!)

These are what I believe to be the 2 Lemon Blues:

Chick 1

Chick 2 (Looks exactly like chick 1)

And Chick 3. What would you guess it to be? Just another Lemon Blue? (This one does have some white on it's chest)
