Is this bumblefoot?

I noticed my favorite chicken limping about 5 days ago and a large swelling on one of her feet. I finally caught her today and have her in a pet carrier to keep her from walking on it. I think it may be bumblefoot but wanting another opinion. I've attached some pics.

I noticed a post on here showing how to surgically treat bumblefoot. Is this recommended as a DIY? I used to be a wildlife rehabber so I have some experience, but is it not quite painful for the animal without any anesthetic? What about risk of infection?

Looks like bumblefoot to me.
