Is this bumblefoot?

We have never had chickens with this on their feet and we adopted these last year from when a local school hatched them. Is it contagious? Thanks in advance for any info you give me.

Do you have an Avian Vet you can take her to?
It does look like bumblefoot.

Thank you! I am going to gather the things I need to open it and clean it out. Not looking forward to that at all. How do they get bumble foot?

It's a staph infection.
They get it from a cut on their foot, a hard landing off the roost, etc..
Wear gloves while performing the surgery.
Yes, It's contagious. Scrub the coop down with disinfectant, paying special attention to the roost bars.
