Is this bumblefoot?

Hi all, my Golden Buff, Donna, presented with a limp yesterday, all of the sudden. found this.. Picture 1. it was soft and partly detached so i kind of thought it was a massive engorged tick? and had my husband peel it off.. we then decided maybe not a tick? I have soaked in epsom salt bath, cleaned with vetericyn and triple antibiotic ointment and wrapped with gauze and vet wrap and now looks like this.. (picture 2) I cant tell if i need to bust out the scalpel and dig it out? help please & thank you!

Hmm...It looks like Bumble Foot to me, but I've never had it in my flock before, so I can't say for sure. @Eggcessive?

What is bumblefoot?

It's basically when a wound on the foot gets bacteria and becomes infected with a scab growing over it. The infection will slowly spread through the bird, and it can be deadly if not treated.

It appears that the infection came out or was somehow forced out of the footpad on its own in the first pic. I've never seen that happen with bumbefoot before and I've done the minor surgery for bumblefoot quite a few times.
I see no redness nor swelling in the second pic. I dont recommend minor surgery unless there's swelling and redness.
Inspect Donna's footpad in 3 days for redness and swelling. If there isnt any, recheck again in another 3 days. By that time the scab should have healed and disappeared.
However if there's redness and swelling in 3 days, time for the scalpel.
