Is this circle in the yolk okay? Is this bacteria?

Hey guys! From what I've read, this doesn't look like a blood ring. Today is day 8 for this egg. I haven't been able to see anything in the egg until just now, which I assumed was because it's a green egg. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'd hate to lose this egg as I'm only incubating one other :(

It does look like it has given up. Sorry ):
Man that sucks. Hopefully my other egg keeps on keeping on. For future reference, is there anything I can do to prevent this? I wash my hands before touching the eggs to turn them and I monitor temps and humidity and everything has been perfect.

where did the eggs come from .. if youve kept conditions good, what happened to the egg before it got set, how much time passed, etc has a large impact on hatchrate...

I got them from my own ducks. I took them straight from the nest to the incubator because my ducks won't sit on them.

Don't give up. Sometimes they are quitters and sometimes not. I mark on my eggs (X) which I think maybe quitters. I have been fooled a few times. I know this is not a duck.

Is that a chicken that had a ring like mine? Or did you think it had quit for a different reason?

Hard to say if it is a quitter. To me I would give it a chance. Day 8 is quite early. I would give it a few more days and check it again. What is the temperature running at?View attachment 2372943
Temp hovers between 99.5 and 100, usually around 99.5. This egg doesn't look dead because of the ring?
