The great news is that she is eating a bit more, still not much but more than yesterday. She is also more active than yesterday. So far I’m happy. She’s recovering. I believe she is egg bound

Happy Thanksgiving!

I would give her the Calcium for a few more days. Extra for a short period of time shouldn't hurt her.
If you think she's working on expelling an egg, the extra Calcium may help.

Hello all! Hope you had a great thanksgiving!

I have a question about Hawk (the egg bound chicken. I believe she’s egg bound…). When I went a few minutes ago to feed the chickens, rabbits, and so forth, I noticed Hawk wouldn’t come out of her little house that we made her.(it’s very big actually). Yesterday, and the day before, she would come out, slowly, but she would eventually come out to greet me. Today, like I said, she didn’t come out. Her wattles and comb seem to have gotten a bit redder, closer to how they used to look. I noticed that she’s stay mostly in one spot, standing, but looked like she wanted to lay an egg. Is she about to lay an egg? thanks!

Well, she wasn’t fully standing, she was squatting a little, and she wouldn’t move, like if she was in a nesting box.

Are you still giving her calcium? What about warm Epsom salts baths?
