Hi! I have 8 weeks old Ameracaunas. Both of their comb color look pink instead of red. Is this normal color for young chickens? Should I check more into this?

Yes, pink when they're young, red when they mature, for females. Males' combs turn red sooner. Comb redness is associated with laying, but is no guarantee. Sometimes a pullet will have a deep red comb months before she starts laying. Sometimes within a week of starting. Sometimes she'll lay fine but have a pink comb. More often than not it correlates, but not always and is not a guarantee. At the age of your chick though, she's just young and the comb is naturally pale at that age.
