Is this egg fertile?

I've seen the numerous photos of fertile vs infertile eggs online, but my eyes are old and I'm new at this. Was hoping you more experienced chicken folks could help me out. What do you think...fertile or infertile?

I think fertile, but I'm not nearly as experienced as most of the people here. I'd wait for somebody else to say something before taking my advice.

Inexperienced guess = non fertile, no "bulls eye" just the white spot

Yes, actually I’m starting to see no bullseye. Sorry, guess you’ll have to wait a little bit for the fertilized egg to come through!

Ehhh...hard to say, could be fertile even without hard line bullseye.

Agreed with aart. Sometimes a very fresh egg will not have a well developed blastoderm. I would vote fertile.

That's good news, some of mine look like that, and I've wondered.

Been thinking about this.
Good strong bullseye for sure fertile, but not all mine have a bullseye,
and I've had pretty good development rates tho I don't hatch a ton.

Have seen them look like this with NO cockbird present, so......<shrugs>

There's no guarantee, and you can't see the blastodisc before incubating,
and can't incubate after breaking and seeing the blastodisc,
so we'll never know for sure if this type of blastodisc is truly fertile or not.
