Is this egg fertile?

Candle from the other end,

It looks like a saddle air cell.

Shipped egg?
What day of incubation?

No its from my ducks. I have 1 male and 2 female and he’s constantly on them so i know they are fertile lol. I don’t remember. As i stated i should have marked it on the calendar but forgot. 2-3 weeks somewhere in between that.

The eggs usually start looking like that close to hatching.

Did you get a picture while candling from the other end?

I orginally thought my duck eggs were fertile.i saw veins(i think) but now i’m not so sure. My broody silkie has been sitting on them for about 2 weeks maybe 3. I should have noted the date but forgot. Any thoughts?View attachment 2046146

That looks fertile to me... Don't worry, If it's not. That will make a pretty good balut egg. You'll make this Filipina sooo happy!! :D:D:D

I used a flashlight that the light is the whole lengh of it so it covered the whole egg. I think its been 3 weeks. I know duck eggs take longer to hatch.

One week left then.
good luck with your hatch! 🐣

Duck eggs can hatch a couple of days early sometimes, especially if incubation temps are a bit higher than normal on average.

The eggs were pretty hot when i checked them from under my silkie. Temps are 60 but 40s at night. I think i’m most confused because from photos online it should be the almost the full egg dark. They are heavier then the normal ones i pick up right after they lay.

They look fertile to me, but they should be lighter, not heavier.
