Is this egg fertile?

They are adorable well done!

I agree with @aart don't move the mum until all the eggs have hatched because I have known some chickens to just have a huge tantrum about the whole thing if you move them and reject the remaining eggs which would be a real shame!

Do you have a special setup for the ducklings so that they can go in the water and keep themselves clean but a dry bit for mum because getting wet can be fatal for silkies just because of the whey their feathers are.

Good luck and keep us updated!
👍😊 :hugs:celebrate
They have a entire inside coop thats 7x8! Chick Waterer and non medicated chick food. I don’t let my ducklings start to swim until 3 weeks and only for 15 minutes. They still don’t have the oils for awhile! I’m just going to keep them in there until its time for the ducklings to join the ducks! I’ll also lock all the other ones up to give them outside time alone!

Sounds like you've got it covered...and have the experience needed to manage it well.
Have you ever had a silkie hatch ducks before?

I’ve done a lot of research and I raised my ducks that i have now from ducklings. This was my first time hatching anything but my silkie went broody and I had read a lot about how well they did with other poultry. Shes doing a great job right now!
