We have had temps with heat index well above 100.
It was sunday 2 weeks ago we heard one of our hens
singing the egg song. We just found the egg she laid.
Was wondering if it is ok to eat or not.
I know you can leave them on the counter, we have had
the ac running though. Have a feeling we will be finding more.
They all hang under the hedges when we let them out to free range.

A rotten egg has a very distinctive smell. So, if you crack the egg into a bowl and it smells okay, it should be okay to eat too.

103 degrees and two weeks in an incubator makes chicken!....but really, are you that hungry?
If you are daring, you can try to blow it and keep it.
I wouldn't want to eat it.

no. don't eat it. there. I got off of the fence.
Ever have food poisoning?
