Is this enough

We have built a solid hen house with 5 inch thick walls and wire fencing on all windows that open. As for our run we are using a chicken wire that is supposedly strong enough to keep racoons out. Is this enough. Do we need to bury it...we don't have wolf, coyote, or fox in our area. We do have racoon, eagle, owl and once in the last 11 years a mountain lion. I thought about putting down coyote urine around the yard to deter the coons. The run is covered with the same supported wire.

Are the hens safe?

Sound like your on track. Unfortunately time will be the only answer. Chickenwire generally will keep most critters out. Good luck.
