What kind of issues? Could they harm her or just her production? Is she the only chicken in the coop? If this is really happening, I am afraid that reproductive tract issues lie in her future.
Are you sure she laid those eggs? Do you have any other chickens that lay the same color and/or size as her eggs?My Easter Egger/silkie cross is laying more than once a day. i would be really surprised if it was her. Can you weight those eggs with a good scale? Usually eggs from the same hen will have a similar weight. It might give you an idea who is laying them.I only have 2 blue Eggers and the other one lays bigger and layed yesterday too. I see her go up there quite often
Please use nontoxic dye, though.i would be really surprised if it was her. Can you weight those eggs with a good scale? Usually eggs from the same hen will have a similar weight. It might give you an idea who is laying them.
Also, this afternoon I would die her vent. Use gel or liquid food die and drip/wipe it on her vent. Tomorrow her eggs will be smeared in that color.
Food die is non toxic. Please use nontoxic dye, though.
