I can tell you that the three month memory is false. When my two drakes injured two girls I gave them to a friend for a vacation. He kept them for over six months. When I asked for one back, he said he would bring him to work the next day. As I headed into the building the next morning I heard drake quacking behind me. My drake had spotted me across the row in the parking lot! I wondered if he would remember home. He did. Unfortunately, he still remembered which girls he didn’t like.
I suspect a few more of those are false as well. My ducks eat a lot of tomatoes and Purina duck pellets without issues.
