I have one other roo with a single comb and couldnt see any but I only saw him from a distance. I'll check him later.

all my girls have teeny combs and no wattles so they all seem fine.

Frostbite in Georgia? What have your lowest temps been?
It looks like they may have gotten them injured. Is it blood or is it actually discoloration?
it looked like discoloration not blood but I havent tried to wash it off or anything.

I know it got down to 25F at some point and it's often moist.

Try to wash it off maybe. Is their coop well ventilated? My roos are all fine here with our single digit temps.

I won't jump to disease yet, but it's a possibility.
When did the spots appear?

very to the point of probably being too ventilated. the front and side wall are mesh & the back wall is wood. lots of gaps.
Are you sure they haven’t been fighting and have injured combs?
I am not sure, but i dont ever see these two near each other.

today is the first I've noticed it
I have pictures from the 14th where they are looking kinda pale

honestly there might be discoloration on roo 2's in the pic from the 14th too
but roo 1's is just pale

roo 1 is avary roo 2 is foghorn, if anyone prefers names lol

I know it sounds silly to say frostbite in GA but my coop was not built with cold weather in mind AT ALL so I know the temp seems ridiculous but try to keep an open mind

also roo 2/foghorn sleeps outside in a tree. rain or shine, hot or cold.
he does pick a different tree when it's raining but he does get wet

Idk. Were they excited? Sometimes my roos' combs flush purple when they're excited.
