I know the weather is bad if Foghorns 2 ladies sleep on our storm door and poop on the porch. :p

foghorn had just gotten off a lady so that could have been excitement.
avary, I don't know

I tried to rub it off snowflake (dry) and it didnt come off but that could still be a scab or dried blood. I just dont really want to wet his comb if it is frostbite

Could you take him inside and try? It looks like it could be dried blood.
What's up with the hen's scale?

yeah I could.
I dunno about the hen. I know toes can get frostbite so I just thought it might be related.

The hand looks more like something lifted up the 2nd scale On her toe and bit of blood underneath

I doubt its frostbite. Mine get it every winter, but not until its -25. They would be thrilled if it never got below 0. Teens or 20s shouldn't be cold enough for frostbite. I would guess there was some fighting going on.
