Is this guy an egyptian fayoumis or a silver spangled hamburg?

This diagram might help you get better acquainted with the chicken anatomy. The earlobe of a Fayoumi is red whereas the earlobe of a Campine is white. Your male has a red earlobe so the better bet is a production bred Fayoumi.

He is definitely a fayoumi roo. He looks just like mine and is by far 1 of my favorite chickens in my block. He has a great personality and always comes up to visit with me.

When you say production bred Fayoumi, do you mean that they are diluting the gene pool of the Fayoumi with other breeds and selling them as Fayoumis? Or does that term mean that they are hatching them in large quantities? Thanks in advance.

Since Fayoumis have no standard I'm not sure how one would distinguish a "production bred" bird.
eta: THEY HAVE NO aMERICAN STANDARD, THEY MAY BE STANDARDIZED ELSEWHERE.

Thanks...they are a very interesting breed to read the history on. I hope more people become interested in this breed.
