is this healthy?

my chick has these bald spot and grey spots on it. i thought that it was just growing in new feathers but it seems as though she’s getting worse? does anyone have any idea what this may mean? we previously had chicks before this at by the time they were that size they had a full healthy body of feathers.

we have two more but they are full grown and always separated. is there any sicknesses or anything it could be?

I'm not sure. Is he acting healthy other than the feathers? I think I've seen something similar here and it was just a genetic defect. It didnt hurt the bird otherwise.

he lays down majority of the day but he is always in the shade and with plenty of food and water. he also digs in the dirt when laying down with his feet but i didn’t think that was anything to be concerned about

You said he lays down the majority of the day... any chance of a defect in his legs such as “splayed legs”?

With the placement of the bald spot, it looks like he could be pulling the feathers out himself. Plucking feathers is a behavioral problem that can be caused by various things such as stress, loneliness, boredom etc. It can be a very persistent habit. I know some use aprons for hens that have lost feathers on their back. Maybe something similar can work?
