Hi everyone!

Well this is not a post to complain but to figure out what is going on!!! I have 5 hens that are laying as of now. 2 of them are EE`s they lay everyday! The thing is they are laying more than once a day! Or one of them is, one of them lays twice a day!

The reason I know is they are the only ones that lay blue eggs! I am getting 3 blue eggs a day!

I have thought and though but cant think of anything espescially with not even that many hours in these cold winter days.

Can you post pics of your chickens? Perhaps you have another blue egg layer you didn't know you have?

I sure don't get it. I only see 2 EE's from what I can tell so it does look like one of them is laying 2 eggs per day.

Are they all laying? so if you have 5 hens are you getting 6 eggs? Or are some not laying yet? If you can post a pic of the 3 eggs? Maybe size, shape, and color shade will help us shed light on this...

You said you have five laying right now. How are you sure about that? What are the the breeds and ages of all your hens? are any of them broody?

No Im getting 6 eggs! All five hens are laying. I only have 5 hens in that house that can be in it. The others are seperated which are silkies.

Thats what I mean! I still cant figure it out! I got 6 more today!
