Okay. The first link is actually the same brand bator as the second one, I am not sure why they listed the sirst one as a hova bator as it is a LG. The only difference I see is that the second one comes with a turner. That is pretty high of a price though on both of them. I can get a Little Giant at our local TSC for 41.00 and the turner for 41.00. I think they are asking too much for both, but that is just my opinion.
I intially bought an LG, and tried for over a week to stabilize temps. Never could get them to stay stable. I returned it and got my money back and contacted a friend of mine who is a poultry breeder. He told me to go online and order the 1588 Genesis. I am so glad I did. I love it. I do not have the turner, as I love the opportunity to reach in there and turn them everyday. I think that you would be more satisfied if you would do that.
My personal experience with the Little Giant was kind of a headache. The bottom half was so shallow that I'd lose heat and humidity in a matter of seconds if I had to open it for any reason. Also, the eggs were so close to the heating element, that there was a big temp difference between the center of the incubator and the outer edges (and that's with the fan). I actually had to build a new bottom out of wood making the bottom now 8 inches deep. With that much air to heat up, it heated up evenly throughout the bottom and holds the temp longer in case I need to open it. It works great now. It may work differently for someone else though.
Here is a link to the 1588. These guys offer a percentage discount to BYC members too. I didn't order from them I ordered from GQF but I paid a little more than this too.
I just looked it up. It is a 5% discount. You enter BYC5 at checkout. Not sure how much that would knock off but even without the discount that seems to be the cheapest I have found them and they are worth the money in my opinion.
i'm getting in late on this but i liked my hova bator 1602N. i didn't have the turner or fan and i did pretty good with shipped eggs.you can get it even cheaper at a reptile site if they still have it on sale. it was under 50 with shipping. i can't remember the name of the place though cause i'm on a different computer.
